Qualifikationen

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; approved housekeeping courses preferred.
• Experience as a school custodian is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish amiable working relations with staff, students and the public.
• Ability to work overtime on occasion.
• Must work from a ladder/scaffolding and demonstrate proper PPE usage.

Aufgaben

• Floorcare including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and waxing of floors.
• Trash collection and restroom/classroom cleaning; restrooms, boards, and furniture upkeep.
• Lightbulb replacement, cleaning of grills, and general maintenance feedback to supervisor.
• Trash removal from grounds and playgrounds, water turf, and snow removal as needed.
