Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to school staff for oral communication and speech improvement.
• Identifies and evaluates students with speech and language impairments.
• Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs in speech and language impairment.
• Participates in eligibility determinations for related services in speech and language impairment.
• Participates in conferences including IEP meetings and Annual Reviews.
• Develops and implements IEPs for eligible students in speech and language impairment.
• Provides intervention support for RtI processes in speech languages.
• Teaches collaboratively with classroom teachers when appropriate.
• Completes documentation including Medicaid billing and related logs.
• Participates on case studies and collaboration teams as needed.
• Facilitates curriculum and instructional modifications.
