Job summary

Melvindale Northern Allen Park Public Schools seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide school-based services and to develop, implement, and evaluate speech-language therapy for eligible students.

Provide IEP development, attend MET and IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines while coordinating with staff for integrated language support across classrooms.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or valid Michigan teacher certification with full approval in Speech and Language Impaired.
• Licence required: Speech and Language License (LARA or Michigan Teacher Certification).
• Preferred: CCC-SLP from ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage workload to meet legal mandates and timelines.
• Communicate with students, staff, and parents verbally and in writing.
• Provide training and coaching within a Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model.

Education

Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology

Michigan teacher certification with full approval in Speech and Language Impaired

Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech and Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
