Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students' communication development in Prince William County, Virginia. This full-time contract runs August 24, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with placements across Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge.

You will work under supervising SLPs to deliver targeted language interventions. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, data collection, and progress reporting, with a consistent 35-hour

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Speech Language, or Communication Disorders.
• Understanding of school-age therapeutic approaches.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary school team.
• Adaptability and strong interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and families.
• Note: Virginia does not require SLPA license for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language support services as outlined by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Implement individualized programs to meet diverse student needs.
• Collect data and document student progress, reporting findings to supervising clinicians and educational staff.
• Support development of communication skills across classroom, social, and functional contexts.
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and ongoing training.
