Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in the New Orleans area is seeking a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for an onsite, contract role through late spring 2027. The position offers a full-time 35-hour schedule aligned with the school calendar and a rapid hiring process.

You will conduct speech and language evaluations, develop IEPs, maintain records, and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ communication growth throughout pivotal years.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active or eligible Louisiana state licensure.
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in school-based settings encouraged.
• Commitment to meeting district credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs).
• Maintain detailed records and progress notes in compliance with school/district policies.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, families, and team members.
• Participate in meetings to support student learning and success.
• Adapt to a range of assignments as determined by district needs.
