The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Mental Health Therapist for a 12-month school-based role serving Montgomery County Public Schools. You will work with youths and families, collaborating with educators and community providers to remove barriers to care.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy and Maryland licensure. A bilingual English/Spanish individual is preferred.

Formación

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• Maryland licensure (LMSW/LCSW-C/LGPC/LCPC/LGMFT/LCMFT or Psych Associate) is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment models (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct clinical evaluation, bio-psycho-social assessments, and treatment planning.
• Provide individual, family and group counseling to a caseload of 19–21.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed to youth.
• Lead or co-lead psycho-educational and therapy groups (child, teen, parent).
• Consult with parents and school staff regarding progress.
• Attend school and parent meetings (IEP, 504, EMT/ARD).
• Offer assistance during crises.
• Support YMCA mission and participate in region events.
