Job summary

Mary’s Center in Washington, DC, is seeking a School Based Mental Health Therapist to work full-time in a partner school. You will deliver three-tier mental health services, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide individual/group/family therapy, and participate in school wellness and CAFAS assessments.

The role reports to the Senior Clinical Manager of School Based Mental Health. Candidates need a master’s degree in a related field, DC/MD licensure within 6 months, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• DC licensure (LGPC/LGSW/LPC/LICSW) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Be active member of school wellness team and coordinate mental health activities.
• Develop and implement the 3-tier workplan for school-based services.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy to students and caregivers.
• Provide crisis intervention and after-hours coverage on a rotating basis with compensation.
• Document encounters and coordinate care in the EMR (eCW) and manage billing.

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field

DC Licensure (LGPC/LGSW/LPC/LICSW) or equivalent

HIPAA/compliance knowledge
