Job summary

Lycoming County Children & Youth Services is seeking a County Caseworker 2 to support students and families in meaningful ways. This role places you in Williamsport Middle School, where you will build strong connections, promote positive change, and help families access needed services.

You will collaborate with agencies, provide early intervention, perform needs assessments, deliver brief supports, and ensure follow-up to keep services effective.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as County Caseworker 1 or
• Completion of County Social Casework Intern program; or
• Bachelor’s degree with social welfare major or related combination including 12 credits and one year of professional social casework experience; or
• Any equivalent combination including 12 credits in sociology/social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student and family needs across settings.
• Provide brief interventions to address immediate concerns.
• Connect individuals with community resources.
• Coordinate follow-up to ensure services remain effective.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to offer broad support services.
