Lehigh County Children and Youth Services is seeking a County Caseworker 2 to support children and families in need. The role emphasizes case management, family assistance, and safeguarding child safety through coordinated services.

The position is full-time, with hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Telework is not available, and applicants must meet education/ experience requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Six months of County Caseworker 1 experience or equivalent.
• Completion of County Social Casework Intern program or related education.
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or related credits.
• One year of professional social casework experience or equivalent training.
• Within two months of graduating with qualifying degree/credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management through structured planning and guidance.
• Assist families to improve social, emotional, and physical stability.
• Assess child safety and well-being in each case.
• Coordinate services and connect families with community resources.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needs change.

Education

Six months county caseworker experience

County Social Casework Intern program

Bachelor's degree with social welfare major

Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology and 1 year PCCWS experience

Equivalents with 12 credits in related social sciences

Within two months of graduating with qualifying degree/credits
