Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or related coursework.
• Educational requirements may be met within two months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Engage families across diverse backgrounds with clear writing and in person communication.
• Assess needs by reviewing family situations to identify risks and service requirements.
• Coordinate services by linking families to intake, ongoing, teen, or intensive supports.
• Maintain records by documenting case information using agency computer systems.
• Adapt schedule including occasional weekends and non-telework expectations.

County Caseworker 1 experience

Education

Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology/social sciences and 1 year of professional social casework

Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 college credits in related social sciences
