The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 2 to support Washington County Child Welfare Services. The role focuses on family-centered social work, case management, and resource coordination to promote healthy outcomes for children and youth.

The position requires a social work background, a relevant degree, and the ability to perform essential job functions. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties and occasional evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or completion of the County Social Casework Intern program
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or a degree including 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of social and case management services to support children, youth, and families
• Obtain essential background details to understand family needs and inform service plans
• Offer guidance to clients and their families to assist them in improving overall functioning
• Help families access available supports that promote emotional and physical adjustment
• Perform duties under supervision during probation and complete required classroom and field instruction
