Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the trainer will handle injury prevention, care, concussion management, emergency plans, and coordination with families, coaches, and physicians.

Qualifications

  • BOC certification and MA athletic trainer license (or eligibility) required.
  • Prior experience as athletic trainer in a secondary school setting preferred.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
  • Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Injury prevention and care for student-athletes; oversee rehab and conditioning.
  • Act as liaison among families, student-athletes, coaches, physicians and staff.
  • Develop and review venue-specific Emergency Action Plans.
  • Manage concussion policies and pre-season testing (ImPACT).
  • Coordinate facility and event coverage with Director of Athletics.
  • Ensure compliance with state/league rules and budget management for supplies.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Seek professional development opportunities and perform other duties as directed.
