Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pre-Op / Phase II Recovery / Same Day Surgical Services department to provide clinical expertise and ensure high quality, efficient care in a surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure required; compact licensure with FL activation within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of Pre-Op and Phase II Recovery patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
