Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controller to join our San Diego team. You will work with Project Managers and clients on project governance, budgeting, reporting, and financial management to deliver successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and collaboration across stakeholders, including executives and vendors. On-site presence may vary with client needs and project scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Proactive, organized, and thorough with a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with project management software systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager to ensure quality, schedule, and efficient delivery.
• Help establish governance, processes, and systems for the project.
• Maintain data sharing and retention across teams and client.
• Build strong client and team relationships.
• Interface with stakeholders including executives, consultants and vendors.
• Prepare and update status reports, issues logs and action items.
• Develop detailed project plans and track progress with the team.
• Contribute to monthly client reporting and executive dashboards.
• Assist with proposals for new projects or changes to existing ones.
• Support SOX controls where applicable.
