Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will provide direct care, supervise breathing treatments, and contribute to personalized care plans that support patient recovery and independence.

We value CPR certification, state licensure in Respiratory Therapy, and a willingness to collaborate with clinicians across disciplines; ACLS is preferred and two years of hospital-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
