Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent is required if a Medication Aide.
• CNA licensing in the state of practice within 120 days.
• Medication Aide licensing in the state of practice within 120 days.
• Less than 1 year experience in a people-related business; food service helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assists the resident with all facets of daily living including meals, medications, bathing, housekeeping and laundry.
• Administers resident medications according to policy and procedure, if Med Aide trained.
• Records and charts clinical data with accuracy and detail, including temperature, pulse and respiration.
• Gathers information such as lunch count and maintenance requests; reports changes to Nurse.
• Prepares residents' rooms and belongings for admission, transfer, and discharge.
