Job summary

Avera St Benedict Assisted Living is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personal care to residents per their care plans. The role includes helping with daily living activities, meals, medications, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment. A multidisciplinary team supports the residents and emphasizes compassionate care.

Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm, with 24 hours every two weeks. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including meals, medications, housekeeping and laundry.
• Respect residents' personal belongings and property.
• Report changes in residents' condition or behavior.
• Answer call lights and anticipate resident needs; prepare rooms for admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and assist with linen and supplies as needed.
• Assist residents in activities and support participation in events.
