Job summary

Southern Research in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Study Coordinator to support government and commercial studies. You will assist in planning, scheduling, execution, and closure of study tasks, and help compile, manage, and review study data and documentation.

Collaborate with the Principal Investigators, Project Managers, and study team to ensure timelines, quality control, and proper protocol adherence, including Provantis setup and data formatting for reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of program/study coordination experience.
• Ability to learn and utilize specialty software applications (e.g., laboratory information management systems, Provantis, MS Project).
• Good grasp of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of microbiology/ virology/ immunology/ biology.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with Study Director and Project Manager to execute, conduct, and report for all assigned studies.
• Initiates or amends studies and drafts of protocols/protocols/work requests; tracks samples throughout study lifecycle.
• Primary Provantis protocol setup contact and coordinates with LAR for setup approval.
• Tracks progress and communicates changes to timelines to internal and external teams.
• Prepares data, tables, and graphs with the report writing team; ensures QC before submission.
• Maintains study records and archives data and reports after study conclusion.
