Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks an Exceptional Student Services Coordinator for our online upper school, fully remote in the United States. You will plan and provide specially designed instruction, collaborating with related service providers and general education staff to implement accommodations and modifications.

You will draft and maintain IEPs and related notices, ensure compliance with guidelines, and facilitate meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
1–2 years of special education experience.
SPED certification required or standard to include; AZ Mild to Moderate.
K-12 Cross-Categorical SPED certification accepted.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide specially designed instruction to students receiving special education and related services.
Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff in implementing accommodations and modifications.
Draft and maintain IEPs, Prior Written Notices, and evaluation paperwork, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Plan and facilitate meetings throughout the special education process.
Ongoing communication and collaboration with parents, staff, and administrative staff regarding student planning and progress.
Manage the transition of new enrollees eligible for special education and related services.
