Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided.
• BLS certification required.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and conducts continuous evaluation of outcomes.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Delivers effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to foster team collaboration and delegation.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and adheres to privacy and compliance standards.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient needs and ethical patient care in line with ANA standards.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
