Job summary

The City of Hercules is seeking a Full Time Recreation Coordinator (Childcare Programs) to lead and coordinate childcare, preschool, after-school and teen services within the Parks and Recreation Department.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, organized professional with strong leadership, communication and program-development skills, capable of recruiting and guiding part-time staff, coordinating multiple programs, and promoting safe, engaging, and affordable recreation opportunities

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and coordinate designated programs and services.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations, schedules and activities.
• Recruit, train and supervise part-time staff.
• Develop marketing strategies for Parks and Recreation programs.
• Prepare reports and budgets; provide customer service.
• Manage Kidz centers childcare, preschool, after-school and summer programs.
• Plan staff schedules and recruit part-time personnel.
• Oversee enrollment and marketing for programs.
• Establish relationships with parents, schools and community partners.
• Assist in grant proposals.
