Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Group Facilitator to support individuals on their recovery journey in Toledo, OH. You will lead group therapy sessions, provide guidance, and educate participants on coping strategies to maintain sobriety.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred degrees in health and human services and at least 1 year of group facilitation experience. CPR certification is required and training will be provided on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in health & human services preferred (Assoc./Batchelors).
• 1 year group facilitator experience preferred.
• 3+ years experience for Red Track.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions for individuals in various stages of addiction recovery.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for group members to share experiences.
• Educate group members about addiction, recovery principles, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address needs of group members.
• Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and psychiatrists for comprehensive care.
• Assist group members in setting and achieving recovery goals.
• Conduct individual assessments to evaluate progress and needs.
• Maintain confidential records of attendance, progress, and treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during distress or cravings.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in addiction treatment.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and additional duties as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned by Leads or Managers.
