Job summary

Smith County Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT. You will support residents’ strength, mobility, and confidence through individualized treatment plans.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintain professional documentation, and contribute to ongoing patient progress within facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Valid state PTA license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Assist in initial evaluations and input.
• Implement treatment per the plan of care.
• Ensure accurate documentation and billing per guidelines.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with the team and facility staff.
• Supervise rehab technicians and students as directed by the PT.
• Integrate PT services into treatment plans and interdisciplinary care.
