Mercury Insurance Company is seeking a Property Claims Field Adjuster II in California to travel to loss sites damaged by fire, water, or weather after completing training; some claims may be handled virtually with vendors.

After training, you will investigate, evaluate, and settle moderate homeowners’ claims, maintain clear communication with insureds, and manage on-site inspections (50% travel, company car provided).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and be able to obtain state licensing.
• Completing the formal property claims training program is required.
• Experience using estimating software like Xactimate is preferred.
• 3–5+ years in a related property claims field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve homeowners' claims of moderate complexity timely.
• Perform field inspections at least 50% of time; company car provided.
• Handle virtual claims using imagery and video collaboration.
• Determine coverage and approve or deny claims within authority.
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements; escalate above authority as needed.
