Job summary

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse (PCU RN) at HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will assist pre-operative and post-operative patients and advocate for a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities include assessing patient status at admission and each shift, administering prescribed medications, documenting care, and maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures and equipment.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
