Job summary

Family Support Services is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the Thriving Texas Families program. You will supervise CARE Coordinators, coordinate onboarding, and ensure program services align with funding requirements.

You will guide staff in delivering parenting education, mental health support, and family engagement activities while maintaining accurate records and reporting. Collaboration with partners and continual program improvement are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in program coordination or management in family services.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, or supporting employees.
  • Experience providing staff training and monitoring performance.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, parenting education, family support, and mental health services.
  • Understanding of grant-funded programs, compliance requirements, documentation standards, and performance reporting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support CARE Coordinators with guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Coordinate staff onboarding, training, and professional development.
  • Facilitate staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative discussions.
  • Oversee day-to-day implementation of Bright Course, Mothers and Babies, Parent Cafés, Moms Circles, and other group services.
  • Ensure facilitators have materials and ongoing support to deliver programs effectively.
  • Monitor activities, staff performance, service quality, and family outcomes.
  • Assist staff with accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting per requirements.
  • Support budget monitoring by tracking program needs and expenditures within approved limits.
  • Identify needs related to materials, resources, and training.
  • Maintain clear communication about program updates and procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff and families.
  • Review effectiveness of program activities and provide feedback to improve services.
  • Ensure client records and staff practices meet confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain complete records of client participation, progress, referrals, and activities.
  • Build relationships with community partners to strengthen referrals and resources.
  • Coordinate workshops, family events, and resource fairs aligning with program goals.
  • Gather program data, compile performance measures, and assist with reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Education Division and families.
