Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Abilene is seeking a PRN RN for the Combest Center, performing a wide range of outpatient nursing duties under the resource nurse pool, providing complete evaluations in a team-based setting.

The position requires a Texas RN license, BLS certification, EHR experience, and 2–3 years hospital/clinic experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Schedule is day shift, part-time, on-site with occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized nursing program; one to two years' hospital/clinic experience preferred.
• Texas RN license required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or active.

Responsabilités

• Function within the nurse’s scope of practice and organization policies.
• Supervise and/or delegate nursing care in the absence of SR Staff Nurse.
• Assist with development and evaluation of care protocols and supervise nursing staff.
• Report data and alterations in patient responses to support goal-oriented care.
• Triage and assess health status of diverse patients and families.
• Analyze data to develop care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Refer patients to resources to ensure continuity of care and health promotion.
