Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Abilene Robertson Unit in Abilene, TX. The role oversees nursing care on the unit, assigns daily tasks, and ensures accurate EHR documentation and medication administration.

It includes on-call rotation and coordination of unit operations. The position requires RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and at least two years of nursing experience with some supervisory exposure.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of nursing experience with at least 6 months as a Registered Nurse.
• Possession of a valid, current RN license in Texas.

Responsabilidades

• Makes daily assignments and ensures all daily assignments are completed.
• Communicates patient data using EHR to support decision-making and improve care.
• Administers or assists with medication administration and documentation.
• Attends staff meetings and shares information with the team.
• Maintains knowledge of current care practices and treatment modalities.
• Monitors access to care and unit housing areas during shift.
• Ensures accurate counting and logging of sharps, instruments, and keys.
