Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Primary Care to maintain and promote health in primary care patients. The APP will diagnose, treat, and prevent illness under physician supervision in an outpatient setting.

The role requires Texas RN licensure with interim/ permanent NP licensing, prescriptive authority, and an ANCC certification. Exempt, full-time position with responsibilities across patient care, coordination, and leadership within the team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive care under physician supervision.
• Order tests, treat patients, and refer to specialists as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient care within outpatient primary care settings.
