Responsibilities

• Develops and administers elementary curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Maintains a safe classroom and supports individualized/small group instruction.
• Plans lessons and learning experiences; optimizes instructional time.
• Assesses student learning; adapts instruction for diverse needs.
• Instructs in responsible citizenship and required subject areas.
• Opens professional learning opportunities through seminars or research.
• Keeps accurate grading/attendance records per district procedures.
• Encourages parental involvement and clear communication with families.
• Manages student conduct and upholds school policies.
• Collaborates with grade-level staff to evaluate curriculum and attend meetings.
• Requisitions books, supplies, and maintains inventory.
• Supervises activities outside classroom; coordinates with transport when needed.
• Administers standardized tests per district testing programs.
