Job summary

Riverside Health System in Virginia is seeking a Physical Therapist to implement individualized programs for patients with acute and chronic conditions in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. The therapist will work under Rehab Services management and collaborate with a broad health-care team.

The role requires evaluating patients, developing and adjusting plans of care, and educating patients and families about the recovery process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program.
• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred).
• License Physical Therapy (PT) in Virginia; CPR/BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations, determines PT diagnoses, and develops plan of care.
• Performs physical therapy procedures to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Evaluates patients timely, following guidelines and accrediting standards.
• Builds collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team and participates in team meetings.
• Assists in training and support of team members, volunteers and students.
• Records progress and updates the plan of care based on testing results.
• Educates patients and families about the recovery process.
