Job summary

Emporia Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Emporia, VA is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our long-term care team. This role offers FT/PT/PRN options and a supportive environment where clinicians are valued and encouraged to grow.

You will provide comprehensive PT evaluations, develop treatment plans, document progress, and ensure MD orders are followed. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., Doctorate, MA or MS in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive PT evaluation based on MD orders.
• Develop a comprehensive treatment plan with long and short-term goals, frequency, duration, and modalities.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Document daily participation and progress on weekly notes.
• Complete billing and bill patients ethically and accurately for PT services.
• Supervise junior staff or students as needed and maintain professional relationships.
