Job summary

MedStar Health’s National Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. The role includes evaluating patients, planning and implementing therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize recovery and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, is DC-licensed prior to starting, and maintains CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (BPT/MPt/PT Doctoral) required.
• DC licensure required prior to starting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation services, review history, perform assessments, and document results with goals for patient and family.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation; consult with other professionals as needed.
• Complete discharge planning and timely documentation and charges for care to show patient’s course and goals.
• Demonstrate time management to meet productivity; manage schedules with flexible, empathetic patient access.
• Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams; mentor staff and participate in education and outreach.

Education
