Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine seeks a motivated Personal Trainer to conduct private training sessions and fitness assessments for members. You will work within a supportive team to promote healthy living and member engagement.

Responsibilities include screening clients, ensuring safe exercise technique, and maintaining punctual sessions. The role supports wellness programs and event participation within a vibrant community organization.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current personal training certification on the NCCA/ICE list.
• Knowledge of basic and advanced exercise principles.
• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or health-related field is preferred.
• Obtain and maintain all required new hire certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal training sessions and fitness assessments for YMCA members.
• Follow YMCA of Greater Brandywine guidelines for screening clients.
• Ensure proper exercise techniques are used by members; promote safety.
• Maintain timely communication with clients and schedule sessions.
• Encourage client participation in personal training programs and wellness activities.
• Support wellness center policies and participate in events.
