This part-time role provides respiratory treatments, monitors residents with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, collaborates with physicians and nursing staff, and supports education and documentation to ensure optimal resident outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or hospital respiratory therapy preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with residents and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently when appropriate.
• Understanding of respiratory care practices and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to residents with pulmonary and respiratory care needs
• Assess respiratory status and monitor residents receiving oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions as appropriate
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use
• Ensure proper documentation of respiratory treatments and clinical observations
• Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
• Support facility initiatives to expand respiratory care capabilities and improve resident outcomes
