Job summary

Accurate ABA in Maryland is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support BCBA-led ABA programs for individuals with developmental differences. The position offers afternoon hours from 1:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with on-site sessions in clients' homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.

You will collect data, implement BIPs, and collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Completion of a 40-hour training course in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and competency assessment.
• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the BACB.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sessions.
• Part-time schedule and commitment to ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.
• Collect accurate and reliable data on client progress and behavior using specified data collection methods.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment goals based on client needs and assessments.
• Implement behavior reduction procedures and strategies to decrease challenging behaviors.
• Provide ongoing feedback to the BCBA regarding client progress and observations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals.
• Participate in supervision sessions with the BCBA to review progress and treatment strategies.
