Job summary

LearningWorks Afterschool (LWAS) seeks an Afterschool Teacher for elementary students in Portland, ME, part-time after-school from September to May. You will work with the Site Coordinator to create a structured, inclusive learning environment, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students’ academic growth.

Responsibilities include lesson prep, planning, weekly team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• State of Maine Teaching Certification or eligibility for Maine certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Establish and reinforce behavior expectations aligned with partner schools.
