Job summary

South San Francisco Unified School District is seeking a Paraprofessional I in Special Education to assist certificated teachers, support individual or small groups, and reinforce instruction.

Responsibilities include behavior support, preparing instructional materials, and providing clerical assistance. This position is at Skyline Elementary School, 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED and some experience with children.
• Completed at least two years of college (48 units).
• An associate degree or higher is required or strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics via state/local assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction for individuals or small groups.
• Support behavior management in the classroom.
• Prepare instructional materials and provide routine clerical support.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Two years of college coursework (48 units)

Associate degree or higher

Demonstrated knowledge via assessment (reading, writing, math)
