Omaha Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional for the Special Education Alternative Curriculum Program (ACP). Start date is immediate; work August through May when students are in session. The role supports teachers with activities, self-care tasks, data collection, and material preparation.

The schedule is 7.0 hours per day, Monday–Friday, 10-month, non-exempt. Salary is $21.99 per hour; employment follows district policies and state laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in various physical activities.

Responsabilités

• Assist or carry out educational activities designed by teachers and specialists.
• Help students with toileting and self-care tasks as needed.
• Support self-care activities such as feeding, brushing teeth and grooming.
• Assist with transporting students on vans/buses.
• Maintain a cheerful, clean classroom and restrooms.
• Collect data and prepare teaching materials for the curriculum.
• Implement structured behavior programs as directed by staff.
• Interact professionally with students and colleagues.
• Work in both school and non-school settings as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
