Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet Paraeducator minimum requirements: pass Paraeducator exam, or 72 college quarter credits, or AA or AS from accredited college.
• Preferred: Experience working with children
• Operating knowledge of computers
• Must be able to pass fingerprint background check
• Must be a willing and flexible worker

Responsibilities

• Incorporate the school positive behavior supports in the managing of students
• Ensure students follow safety procedures at all times
• Provide reading interventions and supports as assigned by certificated teacher
• Other duties as assigned by the building principal
• Support students in de-escalation and problem-solving
• Supervise and support students needing a temporary alternative learning space
• Facilitate re-entry conversations with teachers and students.
