Job summary

Insight Health Systems is seeking a licensed MSW to provide in/outpatient mental health and/or substance abuse counseling. You will assess emotional and social needs, determine interventions, and maintain records while collaborating with care teams and managed care representatives.

Flexibility to adjust schedule for patient census and staffing needs may be required, including potential overtime. Candidate should demonstrate strong clinical skills and commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• MSW required and licensed to practice in Michigan.
• CPI certification to be completed within six months of hire.
• Two years of experience in a mental health or substance abuse setting preferred.
• Knowledge of social work methods, procedures, treatment interventions and relevant regulations.
• Interpersonal skills to counsel patients across age groups and coordinate with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic interviews and psychosocial assessments with patients and/or families.
• Develop and review treatment plans and consult with the treatment team.
• Provide mental health and/or substance abuse counseling to individuals, families, couples and groups.
• Maintain clinical case records and assist with discharge planning and referrals.
• Engage in community outreach and collaboration with other departments and providers.
