Job summary

Minds Matter LLC in Overland Park, KS seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapy goals for individuals with brain injuries. You will implement plans, assist in evaluations, and coordinate with therapists and case managers to advance independence in daily living skills.

The role requires Kansas OTA licensure; Missouri licensure is preferred but not required. You will maintain thorough documentation, participate in trainings, and collaborate with families and professionals

Qualifications

• OTA program completed from an accredited associate degree program.
• Must be currently licensed in Kansas.
• Missouri license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement Minds Matter LLC principles.
• Assist individuals to identify needs and develop compensation techniques for brain injury.
• Contribute to evaluations addressing physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine best therapy methods.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to the supervising OT in consumer environments to meet needs.
• Integrate employment, educational and independent living goals into therapy.
• Collaborate with consumer and staff to determine when goals are met.
• Attend team meetings and assist consumer in goal setting.
• Maintain and submit documentation on time and in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Educate families about brain injury outcomes and progress.
