ChanceLight, Inc. is seeking an On-Call Substitute Teacher for Grades 7-12 in Nashville, TN, to support Ombudsman Educational Services.

The role emphasizes delivering standards-aligned instruction, maintaining classroom structure, and collaborating with staff to ensure continuity of learning. The ideal candidate will have a teaching background in alternative or behavioral health settings, strong classroom management, and the ability to adapt to dynamic schedules and diverse student needs.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a TN state substitute teaching credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in crisis management training.
• Experience in curriculum development, differentiation and instruction; preferably in alternative/special education or behavioral health settings.
• Experience in alternative educational services and working with at-risk students with diverse needs at various levels.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while staying organized.
• Ability to motivate students and have critical conversations to move toward goals.
• Ability to think quickly and calmly in emergencies and make independent decisions.
• Strong oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment; experience with databases.
