Responsibilities

• Assume all responsibilities assigned to the classroom teacher.
• Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher that fulfill the district curriculum requirements.
• Be a positive role model for students and support the school mission.
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Follow teacher lesson plans and district policies.
• Manage student behavior as outlined in the student code of conduct.
• Take necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information.
• Record and turn in money collected during the day.
• Attend and participate in faculty meetings when serving as a long-term substitute.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Work with special education teachers to modify curriculum as needed.
