Job summary

EnQuest Energy Solutions is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will partner with operations and sales to translate data into actionable insights in a cyclical oil & gas market.

Responsibilities include building financial models, monitoring variances, and delivering dashboards for leadership. A strong Excel and Power BI skillset, plus ERP experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• MBA or CFA credentials are a plus.
• 2–4 years FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in oilfield equipment or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong ability to build complex financial models from scratch (Power BI).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Power Query.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft BC or similar).
• Working understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to explain financial data to non-financial audiences.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads using backlog, bookings, and market trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and planning.
• Monitor budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations to leadership.
• Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executives and the board.
• Analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, EBITDA, and KPIs across segments.
• Design dashboards and tools to provide timely financial visibility.
• Partner with operations, commercial, and project teams on decision support.
• Support capital investment analysis and make-vs-buy evaluations.
