Job summary

Expand Energy, based in Houston, seeks an experienced Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will partner with business leaders to analyze performance, develop forecasts, and provide insights that inform decisions.

The role uses financial models and data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that drive value. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance, strong Excel skills, and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum: 8 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and maintenance of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range business plans.
• Analyze actual results vs budget/forecast/prior year; identify key drivers and variances.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes.
• Consolidate and validate financial data from multiple systems and sources.
• Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to evaluate risks and opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement in financial reporting and forecasting accuracy.
• Facilitate cross-functional initiatives to understand business impacts and optimize corporate-level efficiencies.
• Examine reports and make recommendations to optimize portfolio performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
