Job summary

EnQuest Energy Solutions is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will partner with operations and sales to translate data into actionable insights in a cyclical oil & gas market.

Responsibilities include building financial models, monitoring variances, and delivering dashboards for leadership. A strong Excel and Power BI skillset, plus ERP experience, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• MBA or CFA credentials are a plus.
• 2–4 years FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience.
• Experience in oilfield equipment or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong ability to build complex financial models from scratch (Power BI).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Power Query.
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft BC or similar).
• Working understanding of GAAP.
• Ability to explain financial data to non-financial audiences.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with integrity and confidentiality.

• Support capital investment analysis and make-vs-buy evaluations.

Job description

The Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and strategic direction of EnQuest Energy Solutions, a manufacturer of oilfield equipment. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, this position supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting across the organization. The successful candidate will partner closely with operations and sales teams, turning financial data into insights that help leadership plan and make decisions in a cyclical market driven by oil and gas activity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts in coordination with department heads, using order backlog, bookings, and market trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models that support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Monitor budget-to-actual variances and provide timely, well-reasoned explanations to leadership.

Management Reporting & Analysis

• Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executive leadership and the board.
• Analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, EBITDA, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across business segments.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide timely visibility into financial performance.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Serve as a trusted financial partner to operations, commercial, and project management teams.
• Support capital investment analysis.
• Evaluate make-vs-buy and outsourcing decisions.

Process Improvement

• Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
• MBA or CFA a plus.
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis.
• Experience in oilfield equipment, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex financial models from the ground up. (Power BI)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query).
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central or similar).
• Working understanding of GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial audiences.
• Proactive, collaborative team player who builds strong cross-functional relationships and upholds high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
