Northwell Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician prescriptions. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans to improve motor coordination and upper-extremity function, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize recovery.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy with a preference for a Master’s, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum one year of prior experience is required.
• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in NY and/or CT, or eligible for licensure within one year of employment.

• Administers direct patient care per prescription from referring physician or state-authorized practitioner.
• Uses evaluation techniques to set realistic goals and designs a treatment plan.
• Develops and implements plans to improve upper-extremity function and coordination.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to maximize patient recovery.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in daily living activities for greater independence.
• Participates in quality improvement chart reviews.
• Reviews and coordinates Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and educates patient on use.
• Performs related duties as required.
