Job summary

Denver North Care Center is seeking a Food and Nutrition Director to oversee the Food Service Department, partnering with the Dietician to plan and direct daily operations in long-term care and assisted living facilities.

You will lead the team, ensure meals meet quality and safety standards, and maintain clean, sanitary operations while coordinating with other departments to deliver reliable nutrition services every day.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma as a minimum education.
• Certified Dietary Manager Preferred or eligible to take exam.
• Current food safety certification required per state guidelines.
• Five years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility or similar.
• Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Ability to pass Colorado CAPS background check.
• COVID vaccine required or valid exemption.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food services and activities with other related departments.
• Assist in developing and maintaining written food services policies and procedures.
• Interpret department policies to residents, employees, visitors, and agencies.
• Perform administrative duties to control equipment and supplies.
• Develop and maintain a file of tested standard recipes.
• Inspect kitchen, dish room, and storage areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Interview residents or families to obtain diet history.
• Maintain records of residents' food likes and dislikes.
• Perform all other duties as requested.
