Job summary

The Controller at Treatment Alternatives for Stronger Communities (TASC) oversees day-to-day accounting operations, the monthly close, internal controls, and GAAP compliance. You will lead staff, coordinate audits, and ensure accurate financial reporting for a nonprofit organization.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting, a CPA, 5+ years of senior accounting experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Excel, plus experience with nonprofit grants and Single Audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license required, or active progress toward CPA.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and nonprofit financial reporting.
• Experience coordinating annual financial statement audits and working with external auditors.
• Experience with nonprofit grant accounting and Single Audit preferred.
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial close and close calendar.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Review journal entries; oversee accounts payable, payroll, and cash receipts.
• Coordinate annual audit and Single Audit; liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
